The Crown of Kingdom Advancement

This is an excerpt from Dr. Ron’s book Kingdom Advancement.

Your Specific Crown for Your Specific Advance

And [they] cast their crowns before the throne, saying: “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created. (Revelation 4:10–11)

Not All Crowns Are The Same

By this chapter, you have worked through the foundational principles of Kingdom advancement from Psalm 24. You have explored divine ownership, the qualifications of ascent, the blessing and righteousness of Heaven, the face-seeking life, gate-opening authority, the revelation of the King of Glory, ancient doors, and the angelic dimension of your advance. All of that is necessary. All of it is foundational. But there is one more dimension to address—and it may be the most personally specific thing in this entire book.

Not all crowns are the same.

I have written about this at length in Embracing Your Crown of Authority, and I want to bring that revelation into direct relationship with the framework of Psalm 24. The truth is this: the advance you are called to make is not generic. It is not a standardized, one-size-fits-all Kingdom assignment handed out identically to every believer. It is a specific advance—requiring a specific crown, producing a specific kind of fruit, and opening specific gates—that no one else in the earth has been commissioned to make in exactly the way you have been commissioned to make it.

The Crown of Kingdom Advancement governs this specific dimension of your calling. It was placed on your head to advance the King’s purposes in the earth—not in general, but in particular. In your particular territory. Through your particular gifts and history and covenant relationships. At your particular moment in redemptive history.

Understanding this crown is not a luxury. It is essential equipment for the advance.

The Crown of Kingdom Advancement is not generic.
It is specific to your assignment, your territory, your gifts,
and your moment in history.

What The Crowns Of Scripture Reveal

The New Testament identifies several specific crowns God bestows on His people—and each carries a distinct character, a distinct promise, and a distinct relationship to the work of Kingdom advancement. Understanding these crowns is not theological cataloguing. It is the process of identifying which crowns are operational in your life and what they authorize you to do.

Let me walk through the crowns Scripture names, because each of them illuminates a different facet of the Crown of Kingdom Advancement.

The Crown of Righteousness: 2 Timothy 4:8

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. (2 Timothy 4:8)

Paul writes these words from prison, with his execution imminent. He has just declared: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. And then comes the promise—the Crown of Righteousness is laid up for those who have loved His appearing and, by extension, for those who have advanced His Kingdom faithfully to the end.

This crown is the crown of completion. It is the legal vindication from the Courts of Heaven that Paul described in Psalm 24:5—righteousness from the God of salvation. It is reserved for those who finish. Not those who start brilliantly, not those who advance with great fanfare in early seasons, but those still wearing their crown on the final day of their assignment.

What does this mean for your Kingdom advance? The Crown of Righteousness is both a present and a future reality. Presently, it represents the legal standing in the Courts of Heaven that you carry as a qualified crown-bearer—the righteousness that has cleared the legal atmosphere over your assignment. In the future, it is the crown the righteous Judge places on the head of every Kingdom advancer who has completed what Heaven commissioned. You advance now under its authority. You receive its fullness when the assignment is done.

The Crown of Life: James 1:12 and Revelation 2:10

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (James 1:12)

The Crown of Life is the crown of endurance—given to those who remain faithful under pressure, who do not abandon their post when the trial becomes costly, who love the King more than they love their comfort or their safety.

In the context of Kingdom advancement, this crown speaks directly to the sustained nature of the advance. The gates that require the most sustained engagement before they open are the ones that most rigorously test the love of the advancer. Do you love the King enough to stay at this gate when nothing visibly changes? Do you love Him enough to keep striking when the instruction was for six and you have only reached three? The Crown of Life is given to those whose love is proved by their endurance.

The church at Smyrna received this promise in Revelation 2:10 in the context of impending persecution: Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. The advance that costs nothing proves nothing. The advance that continues at personal cost—at the risk of reputation, security, comfort, and in some contexts life itself—is the advance that bears the mark of genuine Kingdom love. This crown is worn by those whose advance is driven not by ambition but by love.

The Crown of Rejoicing: 1 Thessalonians 2:19

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? (1 Thessalonians 2:19)

Paul calls the Thessalonians themselves his crown of rejoicing. Not a doctrine. Not an accomplishment. People. The souls who have entered the Kingdom through an ambassador’s advance are themselves the crown the advancer wears before the throne.

This is one of the most profound revelations about Kingdom advancement: the fruit of your advance is part of your crown. The people whose lives have been changed, whose families have been liberated, whose territories have been transformed through the gates you opened—they are your Crown of Rejoicing. They are the living testimony of what the King of Glory has done through you.

This is why the enemy works so hard to prevent the advance from bearing fruit. He is not merely trying to stop your spiritual activity; he is trying to rob you of your crown. Every soul that does not enter the Kingdom through your assigned gate is a jewel missing from your Crown of Rejoicing. Every territory that remains unadvanced, every ancient door that remains shut, every family that continues in generational bondage because no one showed up with the specific crown cut for that gate—all of it represents a robbery the enemy has committed against your crown.

When you understand that the people you are called to reach are your crown, it changes the urgency of the advance. It is no longer merely about completing a spiritual assignment. It is about the people whose eternal destiny is connected to your willingness to wear your crown and advance.

The Crown of Glory: 1 Peter 5:4

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away. (1 Peter 5:4)

Peter writes this to elders—to those who shepherd God’s people faithfully, not for personal gain but from genuine devotion to the King and the people they serve. The Crown of Glory is the crown of faithful, humble, sustained service in the assignment God has given.

In the framework of Kingdom advancement, this crown speaks to the character of the advance. It is not enough to advance boldly. The advance must be shepherded—tended, cared for, built with patient, consistent faithfulness that produces durable fruit. The Crown of Glory is given to those who advance with the character of the Chief Shepherd Himself—who lay down their lives for the sheep in their territory rather than using the sheep to advance their own agenda.

This crown does not fade. In a culture obsessed with short-term visibility and measurable momentum, the Crown of Glory declares that faithful, sustained, humble service produces a reward that outlasts every wave of platform culture and every season of spiritual trend. The advance built by a crown-wearer of genuine character—clean hands, a pure heart—produces a crown with no expiration date.

The Crown of Incorruption: 1 Corinthians 9:25

And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. (1 Corinthians 9:25)

Paul uses the metaphor of athletic competition—the Greek games, where victors received a crown of leaves or laurel that withered within days. In contrast, the crown the Kingdom advancer pursues is incorruptible—it cannot decay, cannot be revoked, cannot be stolen, and cannot fade under the pressure of opposition or the passage of time.

The discipline required to obtain this crown is the point of Paul’s athletic metaphor. Competitive athletes submit to rigorous, consistent training not because the process is comfortable but because the prize warrants it. The Crown of Incorruption—the eternal, unfading reward of faithful Kingdom advance—is worth every dimension of discipline the advance requires. The preparation season. The hidden season. The sustained intercession at ancient doors. The endurance of opposition. The refusal to come down from the wall. All of it produces an incorruptible crown.

The Crown Of Kingdom Advancement: A New Revelation

Each of the crowns we have just examined contributes something essential to the full picture of what a Kingdom advancer carries. But I want to address a specific crown uniquely relevant for the advancing believer in this hour—a crown I have come to understand through engagement with the Courts of Heaven and prophetic revelation about the season we are in.

The Crown of Kingdom Advancement is not simply a metaphor for the accumulated result of the other crowns. It is a distinct spiritual authority—a specific mantle of governance—placed on the head of the believer commissioned for active, intentional, strategic Kingdom advance in the earth.

It is the crown that governs the gates. It is the key that opens the doors. It is the credential that grants legal access—in the Courts of Heaven and in the spirit realm of your territory—for the believer to do the specific work of advancing the King’s governance in their assigned sphere.

Let me identify its distinguishing characteristics, because understanding what this crown does will change how you wear it.

1. It Is Assignment-Specific

The Crown of Kingdom Advancement is not general. It is cut for a specific territory, a specific people group, a specific sphere of cultural influence, or a specific dimension of Kingdom work. It fits your assignment the way a key fits its lock. The Crown of Kingdom Advancement placed on your head will not open the gates that belong to someone else’s assignment—and theirs will not open yours. Your advance requires your presence. There is no substitute ambassador.

2. It Carries Legal Authority in the Courts of Heaven

When you wear the Crown of Kingdom Advancement and advance into your assigned territory, you are not merely expressing spiritual devotion. You are exercising a legal authority recognized in the Courts of Heaven. Your advance has been registered. Your assignment has a record. The crown on your head is the legal instrument that grants you access to petition the Courts on behalf of your territory and to receive the verdicts that authorize the removal of spiritual obstacles from your path.

3. It Requires the Qualifications of Psalm 24

The Crown of Kingdom Advancement operates at full capacity only when worn by someone who meets the qualifications of Psalm 24:3–4—clean hands, a pure heart, undivided allegiance, and integrity of word. A crown can rest on the head of an unprepared wearer, but it will not function at full authority. The power of this crown is not automatic. It is activated by the alignment of the crown-wearer’s life with the character of the King whose crown it is.

4. It Is Magnified by Face-Seeking

The Crown of Kingdom Advancement reaches its fullest operational capacity in the life of the believer who has made face-seeking—the practice of Psalm 24:6—their primary spiritual posture. This crown is not fueled by spiritual activity or ministry performance; it is fueled by presence. The more deeply you have sought His face, the more powerfully this crown functions in your advance. The face-seeking practice of chapter four is not merely a spiritual discipline. It is the fuel source of the Crown of Kingdom Advancement.

5. It Is Contested by the Enemy

The enemy knows the precise territory your crown is assigned to open. He has been holding that territory and has invested significant legal infrastructure in keeping your specific gate shut. The false crowns he offers—the seven false crowns drawn from the seven heads of the dragon in Revelation 12—are designed to counterfeit your genuine crown, confuse your assignment, and convince you to wear something that looks like Kingdom authority but produces no genuine advance. The Crown of Kingdom Advancement is the primary target of every false crown the enemy deploys against you.

6. It Activates Angelic Assignment

When a believer identifies and wears the Crown of Kingdom Advancement with genuine authority, it activates the specific angelic assignments the LORD of Hosts has attached to that crown. The angels assigned to your advance are not waiting for your spiritual performance to reach a certain threshold before they engage. They are waiting for the crown to be worn—for you to operate in your actual, recognized, legitimate authority as a Kingdom advancer. The crown and the angelic assignment are connected. Wear one; release the other.

7. It Produces Generational Fruit

The advance made under the Crown of Kingdom Advancement does not produce only present-moment fruit. It produces generational fruit—the breakthrough that becomes the inheritance of the next generation of Kingdom advancers in your territory. Every gate you open under this crown stays open. Every ancient door that moves under your authority remains moved. Every testimony your advance produces is deposited in the Courts of Heaven and becomes legal precedent for what God will do through your successors. The Crown of Kingdom Advancement produces fruit that remains (John 15:16).

The Enemy’s Strategy Against Your Crown

I cannot write this chapter without addressing what the enemy does with the information that you carry a Crown of Kingdom Advancement—because he knows it before you do, in most cases. He has been aware of your assignment, your crown, and your gates long before you became aware of them. He has been building his strategy against your advance since before you were born.

In Revelation 12:3, John sees a great dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven diadems on his heads. The word translated diadems or crowns here is the same word used for the victor’s crown—stephanos—in other parts of the New Testament. The enemy wears crowns. He understands the nature of crown authority. And the seven false crowns that flow from those seven diadems are his primary strategy against the genuine crowns that God has placed on His people.

These seven false crowns are not random. They are targeted. Each is designed to counterfeit a dimension of genuine Kingdom authority and redirect it away from the advance of the King of Glory.

The False Crown of Deception

This false crown targets the believer’s capacity for prophetic revelation and strategic discernment—two essential tools of genuine Kingdom advance. It operates through pride and self-deception, producing a counterfeit of prophetic authority that looks spiritual but consistently misreads the assignment and misidentifies the gates. The advance under this false crown is real activity without genuine Kingdom authority. Its base is pride—the sense that you already know what you need to know, that your understanding of your assignment is complete, that you do not need to keep seeking His face or submitting to the examination of the Courts of Heaven.

The False Crown of Hatred

This false crown corrupts the driving force of genuine Kingdom advance. The Crown of Rejoicing, as Paul describes it, is motivated by love—love for the people whose eternal destiny is connected to the advance, love for the King whose glory is at stake, love for the territory the King of Glory is meant to inhabit. The False Crown of Hatred replaces that love with a spirit of opposition—an advance more motivated by warfare against the enemy than by love for the people on the other side of the gate. It produces aggression without compassion, spiritual combat without pastoral heart, territorial intercession without genuine love for the territory. It can look like boldness. It is actually bitterness with a crown on it.

The False Crown of Fear

This is perhaps the most common false crown operating in the body of Christ today. It displaces the genuine Crown of Kingdom Advancement entirely—not by substituting a counterfeit authority, but by making the believer unwilling to wear any crown at all. Fear says: the gate is too heavily defended. Fear says: I am not qualified for this assignment. Fear says: someone else will do it—someone more gifted, more experienced, more spiritually mature. Fear keeps the crown on the shelf and the gate permanently shut. It is the false crown that has neutralized more genuine Kingdom advancers than any other weapon in the enemy’s arsenal.

The False Crown of Devouring

This false crown operates in those whose advance has been corrupted by a devouring spirit—a need to consume, to accumulate, to expand beyond the legitimate boundaries of their assigned territory. The Crown of Kingdom Advancement is assignment-specific; it has a defined scope. The False Crown of Devouring pushes the believer beyond their assigned jurisdiction, consuming resources and authority that belong to other crown-wearers, and ultimately creating spiritual disorder that undermines the entire advance. Saul operated under this false crown when he entered the priestly office that was not his assignment. It cost him everything.

The False Crown of Magic

This false crown seduces the advancing believer into seeking supernatural results through illegitimate means—spiritual shortcuts, unauthorized spiritual power, or the blurring of the boundary between what the Spirit authorizes and what the believer desires. In Kingdom advancement, this shows up as spiritual authority used for personal benefit rather than Kingdom purposes, prayer and intercession manipulated to produce desired outcomes rather than Heaven’s outcomes, or spiritual influence used to control other people rather than release them into their own crown and assignment.

The False Crown of Secrets

This is the primary crown of Freemasonry, and it operates through the corruption of legitimate covenant confidentiality. The Crown of Kingdom Advancement requires covenant relationships—the kind of trusted, committed partnerships Nehemiah had with the people who built the wall alongside him. The False Crown of Secrets corrupts covenant into conspiracy—hidden alliances, unauthorized agreements, and a culture of spiritual secrecy that keeps the advance opaque to the accountability structures God has established to protect it. Where the genuine crown produces transparency under covenant, the false crown produces opacity under secrecy.

The False Crown of the Antichrist

This false crown operates most subtly and most dangerously. It presents a Jesus—and therefore a Kingdom advance—that has been emptied of genuine power. It infiltrates the ekklesia with a version of Kingdom language and Kingdom activity that is disconnected from the Courts of Heaven, from genuine spiritual authority, from the crown of righteousness that requires clean hands and a pure heart. It produces a form of godliness that denies the power thereof (2 Timothy 3:5). The advance under this false crown looks institutional and impressive. It produces no ancient doors being moved, no genuine gates being opened, no generational fruit that remains. It is Kingdom advancement without the King of Glory.

The seven false crowns are targeted. Each one is designed to counterfeit
a specific dimension of your genuine Crown of Kingdom Advancement.

Recovering What Has Been Stolen

If you have read through the seven false crowns and recognized one or more at work in your own life or ministry—do not be discouraged. Recognition is the first step toward recovery. And the Courts of Heaven are fully equipped to process the legal recovery of a crown that has been stolen, counterfeited, or voluntarily surrendered.

In Maximizing Your Crown of Authority, I describe a Courts of Heaven encounter in which the Lord revealed specific instructions for recovering crowns and resources forfeited through generational iniquity or personal failure. The process is not complicated, but it requires honesty, genuine repentance, and a willingness to receive the verdict of Heaven rather than the accusation of the enemy.

Here is what that process looks like in the context of the Crown of Kingdom Advancement:

  • First, acknowledge specifically which false crown has been operating in your life and what it has been doing to your genuine advance. Name it. Do not minimize it or explain it away. Bring it before the Courts of Heaven with full transparency.
  • Second, repent—not merely for the behavior the false crown has produced, but for the underlying agreement that gave it access. What idol, what fear, what pride, what compromise opened the door to this particular false crown? Repent at the root level, not just the fruit level.
  • Third, apply the blood of Jesus to every legal claim the enemy has established through the false crown’s operation in your life. The blood of Jesus is the legal instrument that cancels every covenant with darkness, every unauthorized agreement, every accumulated iniquity that gave the false crown its foothold.
  • Fourth, receive your genuine Crown of Kingdom Advancement back from the Courts of Heaven. Petition the Father specifically for the return of the legitimate crown that the false crown was designed to replace. This is not presumptuous—it is the legal claim of a redeemed son or daughter who has addressed the legal basis for the enemy’s access and is now standing before the court of the righteous Judge.
  • Fifth, wear it. This is the step that many believers stop short of. They go through the legal process and then hesitate to actually operate in the restored authority. Wearing the crown after recovery is an act of faith—and it is the act that the enemy most wants to prevent. Wear it.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

The Crown And The Gates: A Living Connection

There is a living connection between the Crown of Kingdom Advancement and the gates of Psalm 24 that I want to make explicit before we close this chapter—because it is the thread tying together everything we have studied.

The gates of Psalm 24 are not opened by good intentions. They are not opened by spiritual activity or ministry programming. They are opened by the command of a crowned ambassador—a believer who knows who they are, whom they serve, who the King of Glory is, and what their specific crown has been designed to do. The gate and the crown are inseparable. You cannot operate as a genuine gate-opener without wearing your crown. And your crown cannot fully function without a gate to open—a specific territory, a specific assignment, a specific advance for which it was designed.

This is the design of the partnership. God made both—the crown and the gate—in relationship to each other. He placed both in the earth at the same time: the gate that needs opening and the crown-bearer designed to open it. The tragedy of an unworn crown is not merely that the believer fails to advance. It is that the gate remains shut for the people on the other side who need the King of Glory to come in.

Let me say that again, because I want it to land in your spirit.

There are people on the other side of your gate who are waiting for the King of Glory to come in through the opening that your crown is designed to make. They are not waiting because God has forgotten them. They are waiting because the person with the specific key has not yet shown up at the gate and used it.

That person is you.

The Crown of Kingdom Advancement is not your decoration. It is their deliverance. It is not your spiritual trophy; it is their entry point into the presence and purposes of the King of Glory. Every time you lay it down, choose fear over faith, or allow a false crown to operate in its place, the gate stays shut and the people on the other side remain where they are.

And every time you wear it—truly wear it, with clean hands and a pure heart and the face-seeking discipline of the generation that seeks His face—the gate lifts, the King of Glory advances, and people whose names are on your Crown of Rejoicing take one step closer to the liberation prepared for them.

The Crown of Kingdom Advancement is not your decoration.
It is their deliverance. Every person on the other side of your gate
is waiting for you to use the key that has been cut for them.

When The Crown Is Cast Before The Throne

The elders of Revelation 4 cast their crowns before the throne. This is one of the most striking images in the entire Apocalypse—twenty-four elders, bearing crowns of gold, falling before the throne and casting those crowns at the feet of the One who sits upon it.

“You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”

I want you to understand what is happening in this scene, because it illuminates the entire purpose of the Crown of Kingdom Advancement.

The elders are not surrendering their crowns because they are no longer needed. They offer their crowns as an act of worship—presenting back to the King what He gave them for the purpose of His advance, now fulfilled. The crowns they cast before the throne are the completed assignments of a lifetime of Kingdom advancement. They are the open gates, the moved ancient doors, the generational fruit, the testimonies deposited in the Courts of Heaven, the souls now in the presence of the King because a crowned ambassador showed up at a gate and used the key that had been cut for them.

That is what your Crown of Kingdom Advancement is building toward. Not the crown itself—the King who is worthy of everything the crown was designed to produce.

Every gate you open in this life, every ancient door that moves under your authority, every name that enters the Kingdom through the advance you make with the crown on your head—all of it is being gathered into a moment that is coming, when you will stand before the throne of the King of Glory and cast at His feet the completed record of a life spent advancing His Kingdom in the earth.

The earth is the Lord’s. The gates must be lifted. The ancient doors must move. The King of Glory is advancing.

And the Crown of Kingdom Advancement on your head—placed there by the King Himself, specific to your assignment, fueled by your face-seeking, backed by the Courts of Heaven, and accompanied by the armies of the LORD of Hosts—is the instrument through which He will do it.

Wear your crown. Advance into your gates. Finish your assignment.

He is the King of Glory.

Activation: Identifying and Activating Your Crown of Kingdom Advancement

Set aside at least forty-five minutes in an unhurried setting. Have a journal nearby. This activation integrates the Courts of Heaven framework with the specific crown revelation of this chapter.

Step 1: Begin by positioning your spirit forward and your soul at rest. Speak:

“Father, I come before Your throne as Your son/daughter, wearing the crown You have placed on my head. I come to receive revelation about the specific Crown of Kingdom Advancement that You have assigned to my life. Open my eyes to see what You have already established.”

Step 2: Ask Holy Spirit to show you the specific character of your Crown of Kingdom Advancement—not in general terms, but specifically. What territory is it designed to govern? What gates is it specifically shaped to open? What people are on the other side of those gates? What kind of advance does it authorize? Write what you receive without editing it.

Step 3: Now ask the Spirit to reveal which of the seven false crowns has been most active in your life. Receive the revelation without condemnation—with the same honest openness that David brought to Psalm 51. Name the specific false crown and what it has been doing to your advance.

Step 4: Address the false crown legally:

“Father, I acknowledge the operation of the False Crown of [name] in my life. I identify its root as [specific idol or fear or pride]. I repent of the agreement that gave it access. I present the blood of Jesus against every legal claim it has established. I petition this court to cancel its authority and restore the genuine Crown of Kingdom Advancement to its full operational capacity in my life.”

Step 5: Receive the restoration:

“Father, I receive back the Crown of Kingdom Advancement that You assigned to me before I was born. I receive it with clean hands, a pure heart, and undivided allegiance to the King of Glory. I wear it now—not as a symbol but as a legal instrument of Kingdom advance in my specific territory.”

Step 6: Speak over the specific crown you have received:

“I wear the Crown of Kingdom Advancement assigned to [your specific territory, people, or calling]. I commission the angels attached to this crown to go forth into my assignment. I command the gates assigned to this crown to lift up their heads. The King of Glory is coming in.”

A Declaration for the Crown-Wearer

“I receive the Crown of Kingdom Advancement that the King of Glory has placed on my head—specific to my assignment, my territory, my gates, and my moment in history.”

“I renounce every false crown that has sought to counterfeit or displace my genuine authority. I receive in exchange the crown that was cut for my specific advance.”

“My crown is not my decoration. It is the deliverance of the people on the other side of my gates.”

“I wear my crown with clean hands, a pure heart, undivided allegiance, and the face-seeking discipline of the generation that seeks His face.”

“The Crown of Kingdom Advancement on my head activates angelic assignment, opens legal access in the Courts of Heaven, and commands the gates of my territory to be elevated.”

“I will not lay down this crown. I will advance until every gate is open, every ancient door is moved, and every person whose name is on my Crown of Rejoicing has entered the Kingdom.”

“To the glory of the King of Glory—He is worthy of every gate I open, every crown I wear, and every completed assignment I cast at His feet.”

Reflection & Application

1. Which of the five biblical crowns—Righteousness, Life, Rejoicing, Glory, or Incorruption—most resonates with the specific character of your Kingdom assignment right now? What does that tell you about the nature of the advance you are called to make?

2. Which of the seven false crowns have you most recognized operating in your own life or ministry? What did it cost your advance? What did it cost the people on the other side of your gate?

3. How does the revelation that your crown is the deliverance of the people on the other side of your gate change the urgency you feel about your advance? Name the specific people or people groups who are waiting for the King of Glory to come in through the gate your crown is designed to open.

4. Paul’s Crown of Rejoicing was people—the Thessalonians themselves. Who is your crown of rejoicing? Name them specifically. Let their faces and their names become a motivation for the sustained faithfulness of your advance.

5. The elders of Revelation 4 cast their crowns before the throne as an act of worship—presenting the completed record of their advance to the King. Write a description of what you want the crown you cast before the throne to represent: the gates opened, the ancient doors moved, the lives changed, the territory advanced. Let this become the vision that drives your finishing.
