Beefing Up Your Government Position

As we engaged Heaven this past week, John (the Revelator) met us and said, “It’s time to beef up your governing position?”

We knew that 12 is the number of government and that Isaiah 9:6-7 speaks of the increase of His (the Father’s) government and that His government would rest upon his shoulders. However, we have typically believed that His government rests up Jesus’ shoulders alone.

However, we cannot simply “increase His government” without beefing up our governing position. In Isaiah 9:7, we read,

“Of the increase of his government and of peace, there shall be no end. Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with the righteousness from the latter time forth, even forevermore, the zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform (govern, yield) this.”

David was a son who stepped into the future time and lived and wrote from that place.

To experience Isaiah 9:7, we MUST know our position.

Those that have been through the FTP program, know that we start by undoing some misconceptions about how the Father sees us. Once the wrong understandings are dismantled, we can begin to build on a better foundation.

We must embrace that we are sons NOW!

Not next week, not next year, not in 10 years, but NOW! TODAY! THIS VERY MOMENT!

John asked us, “Are you sons now or are you sons later?”

David replied, “We are sons now!” 1 John 3:2 says, “Now we are the sons of God.” It’s not to be a future thing.

Some of us have been told that we are this, or that and that we can’t become sons until all that is cleaned up or until our generational line is completely cleaned up of all the junk that has been in it. John did not preface it with, “When you get all your junk cleaned up, then you’re a son of God. No! He said quite the opposite. In 1 John 3:1:

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore, the world knows us not, because it knew him not.

Now read the next two verses:

1 John 3:2-3

2 Beloved now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear*, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he (Jesus) is pure.

It’s in embracing sonship that the purification occurs. Not after!

When the verse says, “when he shall appear” it isn’t putting that off until a future event, the word “appear” means to “manifestly declare”. It is used in Mark 16:11 (road to Emmaus), and Mark 16:15 when he “appeared” to the 11 disciples. Then in John 2:11:

This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

John asked, “My question to you, David and Stephanie, Ron, and Adina is, “Why don't the people understand? Why, for some people, is this positional position of son temporary or as needed?”

We replied that a lack of understanding was part of the reason. John then asked, “When there's lack of understanding what else is lacking?”

Someone said, “Faith.”

John continued to probe and asked, “What else is there?”

David replied, “Teaching. There is a lack of teaching. The word does say with all your getting, get understanding.”

Adina replied, “A lack of vision.”

The question was asked, “Does that mean that people simply don't see themselves the way Christ sees them?”

John replied, “When you don't see yourself through the eyes of the Father, how do you see yourself? Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove was that good, acceptable and the perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:1) The will of God is for you to embrace who you – a son of God. You are not estranged from God. You are His son!

David responded, “So, we ought to be the proof. Is that what you're saying?

John continued, ‘In order to govern, we must have an understanding that…

Jesus was the prototype, but you are the replica. You ought to be as He is.”

John brought us back to his original question by asking David, “What does it mean to ‘beef up’ to you?”

David replied, “Well, it means to increase. I increase. I build intentionally. I intentionally do more.

John added, “It is more. Yes, it is more.”

David asked John, “How do we help the people? How do we assist the people in increasing their understanding?”

John replied, “You've heard the saying, “You can lead the horse to the water, but you can't make him drink”. What are you presenting? You must keep presenting and keep presenting and keep presenting and keep presenting. Revelation must be rehearsed. Revelation must be rehearsed over and over and over until it becomes real—until that which is revealed becomes visible—becomes truth to the person who hears it.”

John asked, “What does line upon line, precept upon precept really mean?

“It is a type of strategy. Just like the Facilitator Training Program starts at one point and builds from each book that is taught, it is increasing. It is a building. It is establishing. It will establish. To establish something in a truth, you must be firm about it. It must be real to you. It must be truth to you. It is only the truth that you know that will save you.

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32)

The truth that you know that you have intimately embraced that will set you free.

You have received intimately that which you have intimately embraced.

John pointed out, “This teaching is in preparation for the next season of ministry.

Line upon line, precept upon precept will be important.”

John noted, “There are people who have come along for the ride, but many still have not embraced the revelation.”

John said,

We were taken to Isaiah 28:9-17:

9 "Whom will he teach knowledge? And whom will he make to understand the message (of sonship)? Those just weaned from milk? Those just drawn from the breasts?

Let’s pause and visit Hebrews 5:11-14

11 of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.

12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.

14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Have you grown up yet?

Now, back to Isaiah 28:10:

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little."

When you are building a house, does the roof come first?

No! You must have a foundation and before you can lay the foundation, you must prepare the ground for that foundation. Then you pour the foundation and build the substructure, then the floor, then the walls, and then the roof.

Isaiah 28: 11-12:

For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people, 12 To whom He said, "This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest," and, "This is the refreshing"; yet they (the Israelites) would not hear.

Praying in the spirit causes your spirit to be forward (and if your spirit is forward, your soul is in a subservient position) and your spirit can (in an unhindered manner) receive revelation from Heaven for you.

Remember 1 Corinthians 14:2:

For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.

13 But the word of the LORD was to them, "Precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little," that they might go and fall backward, and be broken and snared and caught.

The ones not open to receiving what the Father was bringing forth (yet they would not hear…) are those that hear the precepts but don’t activate them. Then they find themselves falling backward, broken, ensnared, and caught.

Instead of living from a covenant of life these have chosen to make covenants of death. They have come into agreement with Sheol.

14 Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scornful men, who rule this people who are in Jerusalem, 15 because you have said, "We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, it will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood we have hidden ourselves."

The Lord’s response to the scorners:

16 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; whoever believes will not act hastily. (they will have stability in their lives) (they will live from instruction, not from immediacy).

17 Also I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the plummet; the hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the hiding place.

See what Job says about hail:

Job 38:22-23:

22 "Have you entered the treasury of snow, Or have you seen the treasury of hail, 23 which I have reserved for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war?

Hail was a weapon that was used to destroy lies, lives of men and of beast. It changed the atmosphere when released and it changed the environment. Just as hail damages all it touches; you cannot pacify lies. You must destroy the lies! 

And according to verse 17, what the hail doesn’t take care of, the floods will, as it did in the days of Noah.

Chapter 28 starts out speaking of a tempest of hail and a flood. The religious establishment has made themselves drunk on their own belief systems. Those idols will be destroyed and in their place, the Father will raise up sons to exemplify Jesus in the marketplace, on the streets and on the remnant churches who will embrace their sonship and become the ecclesias Heaven has ordained.

A day of battle and a day of war refer to a changing of the political landscape. Isaiah did not indicate that the Lord would be defeated but rather that the drunkards of Ephraim would be overthrown. (Remember, Ephraim was referred to as “a cake unturned.” (Hosea 7:8))

John continued to speak:

Meditation on the scriptures or in the revelation establishes a firm foundation. Psalm 1.

Remember in Isaiah 9:6 where it talks about how the child was born, a son is given, and then the government will be upon his shoulder and of the increase of its government and peace, there won't be an end. This isn’t just talking about Jesus.

You are the child, that becomes a son, and then the government will rest upon your shoulder and will continually increase and as God’s government increases (through you), peace will increase.

Many things that are being revealed in this time are to increase your awareness of your authority as a son. The revelation of engaging with your angels, engaging with men and women in white, engaging with your mountain, dealing with lingering human spirits, and engaging with your stars. All are designed to increase your authority as a son on the earth.

Any teaching that diminishes your authority as a son, you should run from!

What teaching have you embraced that diminishes your authority as a son?

Regardless of whether you have been condemned for believing a particular revelation or not, does not make the revelation untrue.

You may not understand it all, grasp it all. But guess what? I was not instructed to grasp it all before I released it.

I was instructed by Heaven to receive revelation and release it. Sometimes you get to work out the details.

They thought John was crazy on the Island of Patmos because he wrote revelation. Of course, those who received the letters understood what he was saying. But his guards did not. His captors did not.

One of the strategies of the enemy is to label revelation as “false, crazy, heresy, New Age, or something similar.

Lord, give us more revelation so we can release it to the people so that they understand.

David noted that as we were in the month of December, “How fitting it is near the end of the year, just before our third anniversary. It is almost like tying up loose ends. I feel like it's for this period that we've been in is tying up loose ends and as we go into the next year or next season (not necessarily next year, but he said next season). Heaven knows what that season is all about.

Adina remarked that this message is like a bookend. You might have a section of books on the shelf so, you have a bookend. That's the end of that section or the end of that season. So, we will be starting a new season. So, this season, the very beginning was when we started almost three years ago and we're going into a new season, with new revelation. That's why the foundation has to be laid a very firmly, we must have a solid foundation in preparation for the bigness of the future.

If you build the foundation too weak, too small, you can't build a super structure on top of it. You can't build a skyscraper on top of a foundation built only for a one or two story house. So he is building a very firm foundation for future revelation, for future ministry, for future infrastructure, for what he wants to do and where he wants to take us. And some will go for the distance and some only for a while. Some have proven that, and they're already gone.

Where are you in this journey?

Are you willing to embrace revelation as it comes (even if you don’t understand it all at first) and let it propel you forward, or will you reject the revelation and be taken aback by it?

When WE judge revelation, we make ourselves out to be God who understands much more than we. Are we qualified to be the judge?

But there is a spirit in man and the inspiration of the Almighty gives them understanding. (Job 32:8)

How to Beef up the Governing in Your Life

1.     Repent for any rejection of revelation.

2.     Embrace your position of sonship.

3.     Pray in the spirit.

4.     Lean into revelation.

5.     Avoid the scoffers.

6.     Don’t just read scriptures, meditate them.

7.     Engage the Library of Revelation

8.     Recognize and divorce from the spirit of religion or the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil whenever it rears its ugly head.

9.     Rehearse the art of revelation.

10.  Move forward with revelation without reserve.
