Destiny Helpers: Recognizing the Helpers Heaven Has Sent
June 16, 2026* from one of Dr. Ron's forthcoming books, Destiny Helpers.
Court Work for the Protection of Helpers
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. (Isaiah 54:17)
If the enemy has strategies, the saints have weapons. The Apostle Paul reminds us that “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4). The same God who calls Destiny Helpers also defends them—but the defense often flows through your deliberate intercession and warfare. To be a leader is to become a watchman over the watchmen, a defender of those who serve, and a covering over those whom Heaven has covered to you.
Your Responsibility as a Leader
There is a profound stewardship that falls on your shoulders. The helpers Heaven has assigned to you are not interchangeable; they were positioned for you specifically. If they fall, the assignment is wounded. If they leave wounded, the Kingdom suffers a loss that may take a decade to replace. Part of your own assignment is to fight for the protection of those who fight for you. Receive that. Many leaders never do.
But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand. (Ezekiel 33:6)
This is sobering language, but it should provoke seriousness rather than fear. If you refuse to watch over your helpers, you will be held accountable. If you watch faithfully, you will reap a harvest of preserved partnerships, fortified teams, and assignments fulfilled. The choice is in front of you every day.
Daily Covering Prayer
The first weapon is the daily prayer of covering. This is not a one-time petition; it is a posture of intercession that you renew each morning. Bring the names of your helpers before the Lord. Call down the protection of the blood of Jesus over their lives, their families, their finances, their health, and their minds. Stand in the gap for their preservation. Adina and I do this nearly every day. We name the names. The names matter.
A simple framework for daily covering prayer can be remembered with five categories: their souls, their bodies, their households, their resources, and their post. Pray over each category, by name, with specificity. The intercessor who carries the burden of your ministry deserves to be carried in prayer in turn. Specificity is the labor; faithfulness is the reward.
The Courts of Heaven Petition
For those familiar with the Courts of Heaven framework I have taught for many years, the protection of Destiny Helpers is a worthy and biblically grounded petition. When you discern that a helper is under spiritual attack, you can stand in the Courts of Heaven and petition the Righteous Judge for their preservation, for the dismantling of any legal claim the enemy may be using to justify the attack, and for the release of angelic assistance to the helper. If you are new to engaging the Courts, the petitions in Appendix A will get you started.
A sample petition is provided in Appendix A of this book, but the heart of such petition is simple: you are asking the Court to enforce what Heaven has already established. The helper was sent by Heaven; the enemy has no legal right to remove them. You are asking the Court to confirm what Heaven has decreed and to dismiss the enemy’s case against the helper’s continued post.
I watched till thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire; a fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened. (Daniel 7:9–10)
Apostolic Decree
A second weapon is the apostolic decree. You carry authority in the realm of declaration. When you decree something in alignment with the will of God, Heaven establishes it on earth. Decree the protection of your helpers. Decree the preservation of their faith. Decree the dismantling of every assignment of offense, discouragement, and distraction. Decree the release of fresh oil upon their lives. Use your mouth. Heaven and earth are looking for someone who will speak.
You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways. (Job 22:28)
You will succeed in whatever you choose to do, and light will shine on the road ahead of you. (Job 22:28, NLT)
Decrees must be specific. Vague decrees produce vague outcomes. Specific decrees, prayed in faith and aligned with Scripture, produce specific results. Build a regular practice of decreeing protection over each category of helpers Heaven has assigned to you. Write the decrees down if you need to. Speak them out loud. Heaven hears the human voice differently from the silent thought.
Honor as Spiritual Weapon
Honor is one of the most underestimated weapons in your arsenal. The enemy’s strategies against helpers depend on the helper feeling unseen, unappreciated, or replaceable. Genuine honor—public, specific, consistent—neutralizes the snare before it can close around the helper’s heart. Stop hoarding honor. Spend it. Spend it openly and often.
Honor is not flattery. Flattery is empty. Honor is the public recognition of real fruit, real labor, and real partnership. When you call your helpers by name, tell stories of their service, and thank them in front of others rather than only in private, you fortify their soul against the whispers of the enemy. If you master the discipline of honor, you will rarely lose helpers to offense.
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another. (Romans 12:10)
The Communion of Discernment
When you walk in close communion with Holy Spirit, you will often receive early warnings about helpers under attack. A name will rise in your spirit. A heaviness will settle on you when you think of a particular person. A burden you cannot easily explain will form. These are not random impressions. These are the Spirit alerting you to a battle in the unseen realm. When you receive such a prompting, do not ignore it. Pray immediately. Reach out to the helper. Many wounds have been prevented by a phone call placed in obedience to a prompting. Stephanie has called me more than once with a name on her heart, and we have stopped what we were doing to pray. Heaven has covered helpers I would never have known to cover otherwise.
Refreshment as Defense
Finally, defend your helpers by refreshing them. Build retreats, debriefs, gatherings, prayer meetings, and seasons of impartation into the rhythm of your team. The enemy seeks to wear them out by attrition; you defeat that strategy by replenishing them regularly. Feed them spiritually. Honor them publicly. Cover them prayerfully. Refresh them practically. A refreshed helper is a fortified helper, and a fortified helper is one the enemy cannot easily move. Take care of the people Heaven has sent. Heaven is watching.
A Warfare Prayer Over Destiny Helpers
Father, in the name of Jesus, I cover the helpers You have sent to my assignment.
I plead the blood of Jesus over their souls, their bodies, their households, their finances, and their post.
I bind every assignment of offense, discouragement, distraction, and slander aimed at them.
I dismantle every legal claim of the enemy against their continued partnership with this assignment.
I release the ministering angels of God to surround them, defend them, and assist them.
I decree refreshment, restoration, and renewed strength upon them.
I declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
