What does Heaven have to say to the Platinum and Gold members tomorrow?
You are invited to Tea with Wisdom in Wisdom’s Garden
James 3:17:
TPT:
17 But the wisdom from above is always pure, filled with peace, considerate and teachable. It is filled with love and never displays prejudice or hypocrisy in any form 18and it always bears the beautiful harvest of righteousness! Good seeds of wisdom’s fruit will be planted with peaceful acts by those who cherish making peace.
NKJV:
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
NLT:
17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.
MIRROR:
17The wisdom that originates from above sets the pace in innocence; it loves peace; it is always appropriate (polite); persuaded about that which is good; filled with compassion; these fruits are pure goodness and without discrimination.
19Seed always predicts the harvest. Righteousness inspires the kind of deeds of those who embrace peace; these are like seeds sown into fertile soil.
Imagine…We’ve been invited to tea in the Garden of Wisdom! We’re going to Wisdom’s House!
We arrive and are invited to the luscious, beautiful, well-tended garden. There are so many beautiful plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, and decorative grasses. It’s gorgeous! And so very peaceful. Tranquil. Filled with love, joy, and peace.
We are invited to sit with Wisdom, who begins to share with us:
Do you know the difference between wisdom and understanding? We work together, but we are not the same.
We ask, “Please tell us. We want to hear all you have to say to us today.”
In the earthly world, Wisdom is defined as “the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement; the quality of being wise.”
Understanding is defined as “the ability to understand something; comprehension.”
But we are much more than those few words. We are Wisdom and Understanding, Entities – two of the Seven Spirits (or character traits) of the Spirit of God, according to Isaiah 11:2.
Proverbs 3:13-18 ESV:
Blessed Is the One Who Finds Wisdom
13 Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
and the one who gets understanding,
14 for the gain from her is better than gain from silver
and her profit better than gold.
15 She is more precious than jewels,
and nothing you desire can compare with her.
16 Long life is in her right hand;
in her left hand are riches and honor.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her;
those who hold her fast are called blessed.
Wisdom asks, “Why do you think Solomon asked for wisdom instead of anything else he could have asked for? Because he understood he needed my help to lead his nation and rule it well. His father was, after all, King David – giant-killer, warrior, king, psalmist, worshipper, visionary. Solomon had big shoes to fill! And he was wise to ask for wisdom, though he forgot to entreat wisdom when it came to all those wives and concubines! The point is – Solomon was the richest man in the world, for all time. Because he asked for the Pearl of Great Price instead of pearls and gems, gold and silver.”
Wisdom then begins to serve us delicious things to drink and eat. We give thanks and partake of the meal.
Then Wisdom asks us, “how many of you have come to a place where you absolutely did not know what to do…you had a difficult relationship you could not restore, a terrible boss who always seemed to mistreat you and played favorites with other coworkers…or a financial crisis you could not surmount? Did you entreat me, Wisdom? Did you ask for wisdom, or did you keep trying on your own to solve the problem? Did you beg the Holy One to take care of it for you?
Did you forget about me? Wisdom asks.
For that situation you are in right now, ask me what to do. Invite me into that situation. Come have tea with me and let’s discuss it. I will impart my fruit in your heart so you will navigate your path well. We will invite Understanding to give you clear comprehension, to see what you cannot yet see. Then I will lead you, tell you what to do and what not to do. I, Wisdom, will show you the way forward. Follow in my steps and see Heaven’s solution and resolution.
Learn to entreat me daily. For I am Wisdom, and I always do all things well. I am part of the character of the Holy One of Israel, and I know His will. I always do His will. I will lead you in His will. You will learn to handle situations with humility, grace, goodness, and integrity.
So come often to my house – to Wisdom’s House, and let’s dine together in my garden or at my table. Entreat me and I will never leave you. And you will be blessed in many, many ways.
Think about all the situations where Wisdom helped you or saved you a lot of trouble and heartache…
- Take care of that issue
- Leave that relationship alone
- He / she is not the right one for you
- Better not do that
- Don’t go to that party
- Don’t eat that
- You really don’t need that second piece of pie
- Better do your homework now, instead of waiting
- Eat a balanced diet
- Exercise
- Don’t drive angry
- Wait until those clothes go on sale
- Keep your mouth shut – a quiet answer turns away wrath
- Get enough sleep
- Don’t provoke your boss or coworker
Eccl 3:8b:
A time of war, and a time of peace
Eph 6:12:
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
So, let’s invite and entreat Wisdom daily. She is a pearl of great price!
