The Revelation of Revelation

The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:29)

He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him. (Daniel 2:22)

All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them, 35 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: "I WILL OPEN MY MOUTH IN PARABLES; I WILL UTTER THINGS KEPT SECRET FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD." (Matthew 13:35)

Revelation is the unveiling of something that has been hidden. It is the unveiling of secrets.

It is a revealing of the revealing.

In our terms, we say, we are ‘unlocking revelation’. In the book of The Revelation there are symbols and images, but behind those symbols and images are interpretations. The images represent something.

The revelation of revelation is the unlocking of symbols, truths, mysteries, visions, precious nuggets, secrets of the Heaven’s that have been held until this time. The Father has given us access and wants us to pursue revelations of revelations because He wants us to look deeper. We have experienced revelations. We have talked about it. We have stepped into revelation but, have we pursued it? Have we gone after it like we would go after treasure?” [1]

Revelation is a coming to light of something previously unavailable to us.

How does one go after revelation? How do we dig for revelation?

The first step is to begin to walk in revelation that you do have. You don’t even have to understand it to choose to walk in. Anything we do as a believer should require faith—including walking in revelation. As we walk in the revelation we have received thus far, more will be revealed. It is a matter of learning to steward revelation and trusting its source.

Many have heard in their spirit something from Heaven, but did not trust what they were hearing. It takes a trust of hearing to move forward with something new. Revelation comes in all forms. For Noah it was the engineering skill to build an ark. What we read of Noah’s adventure only covers the high points of the engagements with Heaven that he had prior to the flood. His engagements covered a long span of time and gave him insight into the inner workings of building an ark with the systems needed to carry thousands of animals for an extended period. We read the brief story in Genesis of Noah and the ark, but we miss so much in the process.

An important clue as to why Noah was able to receive the revelation he did, is in Genesis 6:9 where it says,

This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.

Noah had done the work of cleansing of his bloodlines. He was considered righteous and without blemish, undefiled.

The Father fills prepared vessels.

Another clue to Noah’s ability to receive ongoing revelation in his life is found later in chapter 6:

Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did. (Genesis 6:22) (Emphasis added)

Noah was obedient. It is likely that Noah was obedient without hesitation. The Father likes that character in His sons.

Revelation requires stewardship.

If we have been unwilling to cooperate with the first revelation, we kid ourselves to think the Father would entrust us with more revelation.

Several years ago while sitting in a conference, I heard the phrase, “Courts of Heaven,” then I heard Holy Spirit say to me, “Study that.”

I obeyed that instruction and as I did so revelation came on the subject. As I implemented what I was learning, more revelation came. Our ministry today is a reflection of that obedience to the initial instruction to study the subject of the Courts of Heaven. It was a small instruction but has had great consequences and not has touched your life.

In Matthew 25, we read the story of the talents. Jesus releases a principle in verse 21:

His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' (Matthew 25:21)

Faithfulness in the few, opens the door to rule over much.

Imagine that a key has been handed to you and you see a door before you. You take the key and unlock the door. Inside the room or vault (because in some ways it feels like a vault, you see that it is very bright. There are no lights in the room, but the illumination is coming from the revelation that is stored in this room. It is the light of revelation.

But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. (Ephesians 5:13)

That's what revelation is. It comes to reveal, and it is to bring light where there has not been light.

Revelation comes to reveal.

It is a type of moving into freedom. If you are walking in darkness and light is revealed, would that bring freedom to you?

If we want to walk in more light—more freedom, see ourselves stepping into this vault containing these revelations. Revelation is coming into light. After light, then greater light, then greater light, and then greater light. Each time we move into a greater light, we move into a greater revealing or a greater understanding. We will begin to see things differently.

When revelation is revealed to us, it is like an ‘ahah’ moment.”

Some revelation is kept hidden until a particular time.

We cannot be impatient with that process. Concepts are built one upon another. Initial revelations lay the foundation for subsequent ones.

Remember, revelation is not hidden from us, but for us.

It is a Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. [2] We are standing in the midst of Kingdom revelations.

As we continued our engagement with Paul, the Apostle, in Heaven a stairway appeared before us. The reason we had been open to an engagement with Paul, is because Jesus set a pattern for us on the Mount of Transfiguration when he engaged with Moses and Elijah as witnessed by Peter, James, and John.

Jesus gave us a permission slip to do similarly.

David and Stephanie were instructed to ascend the stairway. Upon reaching the top of the stairs, treasure chests were in front of them.

In Matthew 6, we read:

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)

Our treasure is in our chest.

How do we lay up treasures in Heaven? By utilizing the unveiling tool of prayer in the spirit.

For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. (1 Corinthians 14:2) (Emphasis added)

Speaking in tongues causes mysteries to come to the surface.

As you speak in tongues, you may hear within your mind, in your native language the interpretation of what you are speaking in that heavenly language. The more you utilize this tool, the more will be unveiled to you.

Also, in the process of speaking in tongues we are also activating angels, some of whom are responsible for positioning us for receiving revelation.

Now, back to the vision of the treasure chests. Each was instructed to open their particular treasure chest. Paul instructed, “Open up what has been hidden that needs to be revealed.”

As Stephanie opened her treasure chest, The more access to revelation is granted, the more being childlike is helpful. [3]

Stephanie opened her treasure chest and saw another version of herself standing inside and she heard, “You are a treasure.” She, like us, is a treasure to the Father. He treasures us. The little version of her standing in the chest began to rise up from inside the treasure trunk. It was a platform. She kept hearing that she had been endowed. To be endowed, is to be empowered. To be provided with a quality or an ability. Samson was endowed with great physical strength. David was endowed as a gifted musician and songwriter.

Whatever we are endowed with will allow us to stand on the platform Father has for us.

When you have a platform, we do not just stand on it, we can proclaim from it. We have a platform that has a purpose for something else. There are platforms that are intangible and tangible.

Describing what he was seeing, David said, “I kept looking at the treasure box and I heard, ‘The box is you this is what you possess. This is what you carry.’ It wasn't so much a receiving; but it was a coming to an awareness of what already is.”

We wondered. “What does this have to do with Sunday. How is this applicable to the people?”

We had a knowing that we were going to take the people up the staircase and each of them would be able to experience what their treasure is. It's going to be unique to each person. If we think about it, what most people are searching for are the things that are hidden, which are good within themselves that they don't even know about. Things that they have to offer. Most people that are in pain in their lives, they don't know what they have to offer to someone else. What he's revealing is who they are as sons because it's not just a positional place. From here, we serve other people. From these places, we give out of ourselves to other people. Each person has that treasure within them. He's embedded certain things in them and the most important thing to consider is, that each of them is a treasure to Him.

And now, in the glory of this glorious light and with unveiled faces, we discovered this treasure which has been hidden, which was hidden all along in these frail suits made of clay.

We did not invent ourselves. We are God's idea to begin with. We are the dynamic of his doing and amazing engineering. (2 Corinthians 4:7)
