The reason we charge for our services are the following:
1 – The Personal Advocacy Sessions are far more than a simple prayer, they are a 90 minute deep-dive into the issues to remove the legal obstacles to a prayer(s) being answered
2 – Our advocates go through an 11-month training program to learn how to successfully advocate for clients in the Courts of Heaven. This program is a paid training course. The advocates have an investment they need to recoup. If I have an auto mechanic go through an extensive training program I do not expect to obtain his services for free. Scripture says, “a workman is worthy of His hire.” We are also instructed to communicate with those who assist us and train us in ministry (Gal 6:6). A laborer is worthy of his reward (1 Tim 5:18), don’t muzzle the ox that treads the grain (1 Cor 9:9).
3 – Because a client has made an investment in the session, they are more likely to take it more seriously than someone receiving services for free.
4 – As the leader of this ministry, I have a responsibility to those who serve with us to see that they are provided for. The widow who came to Elisha was in the state she was in partially because Elisha had not sufficiently provided for her now dead husband. See 2 Kings 4:1) To not provide adequately for them is to steal from them and shows dishonor to them.
5 – It is a way to honor those who serve you. There is a principle that says, “What you honor, you have the benefit of.” If a client will honor the Advocate Team by paying for their time and effort, they can have an expectation of God meeting them in their situation.
6 – It would be nice to think that everyone who came to us for services would make a commensurate donation to the ministry, but that has not proven to be the case. For someone to receive ministry from our trained workers and not value those services in a way that is common to our culture creates an unbalanced trade in their life. Solomon had much to say about unbalanced scales in Proverbs.
7 – Just because our focus is on the faith arena, does not mean everyone should expect us to do everything for free. Peter did not fish for free. He expected to sell the fish he caught to provide for his family.
These are a few of the reasons for paying for our services. Hopefully it gives you food for thought. If our services are of so little value to you that you want them for free, we may not be who you need to reach out to for ministry. We are willing to do this for free, but I am not required to.
